Tribulus terrestris also known as the puncture vine has been used traditional East European, Indian and Chinese medicine for many centuries to improve sexual functioning and cure impotence. It is also used safely and effectively by professional athletes to improve strength and endurance.
Tribulus works by stimulating the production of luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn increases the blood levels of testosterone.
European clinical studies indicate that Tribulus extract can raise testosterone levels up to 50% above baseline levels, but still well within the normal range. Animal studies have found that Tribulus extract containing (Protodioscin) may improve sexual performance, endurance and frequency of intercourse.
